Bike Sharing Can Mean Safer Biking — NYT -
“In one experiment, [University of Bath psychologist, Ian Walker] rode a bicycle while dressed as a man, and then while dressed as a woman, and found that drivers gave less passing room to men, a finding that was confirmed in subsequent studies by others in Florida and Taiwan. He also found that drivers gave him less space when he was wearing a helmet.”

This was sent through to me from an emergency worker I know at Royal Perth Hospital. This is what happens when you get hit by a 4x4… good thing the person was wearing a helmet. Hope they are still alive and i wish them a speedy recovery
